Descent binders

Descent binders keep copies of the magazine safe and secure using thin, spring-loaded cords. Each binder holds twelve issues (two years' worth), plus an extra cord is included to bind in an index.

Please note: these binders were designed for the current A4 size of Descent. They are not intended to carry the older, small-format (1)-(39) editions.

Multi-buy discounts

A discount is applied for orders of two or more binders posted to a UK address: the price will update after you select the UK for posting and two or more in the Quantity box.

When Wild Places Publishing took over full production of Descent, the current design of red binder came into use. However, although manufactured in the UK, the company making the binders used a fabric manufactured in Italy. This is not unusual in itself, but the Italian company has ceased trading. In turn, that means the binder fabric has been changed.

We have sourced a very close match to the fabric, both in colour and texture, but it is (technically) a different covering. This will only be relevant to cavers who wish to have an exact match in a set of binders, so please be aware that the 'old red' is now limited stock. In our most recent order we purchased as many binders as could be made with the existing stock of red, using it up entirely, so when existing stocks run out, the new fabric will be used for all orders.

In general, we will continue to supply as follows:

If our record shows past binder purchases, we will supply old-style red binders. If no prior purchase appears in our records, we will supply the new-style binders. In both cases, if you prefer the other binder type, please let us know.
